Hello all!

Just wanted to formally announce the return of my other Deutsch Creations jewelry and accessory lines, being reinstated on the Etsy store due to increased traffic. Head over to my Etsy shop, where you’ll now find my original line of Shawl Pins (which should be reappearing over the coming week or so) and The World’s Best Stitch Markers, crafted with care to cater to a knitter’s specific needs (and to actually STAY on your needles while you work).

They’re not technically Relic Shoppe items, so they won’t be appearing on this site, but definitely check them out on Etsy!

By the by, I’ve just begun work on a custom order for a client who wants earrings in the shape of various DC superhero logos. I’m super excited about them, and have become inspired for a whole other line of geeky jewelry. Check out the first prototype and some sketches of the other pieces:

Hi Everyone!

So ACen is over, and I’m worn out but happy. Sold a few pieces, and gave out LOTS of business cards to con-goers who were either undecided, in a hurry, or out of money. So if you’re one of those con-goers who’s just come to visit the site, business card in hand, then…Welcome!

Feel free to browse all you’d like. I’m going to be making some updates and expansions to the site this morning, so keep checking back to see what’s new. Also, if you were at the con and were unable to make your purchase in person for whatever reason, I’d like to give you an opportunity to retain the special convention prices I was using. So here’s what we’ll do: send me an email at relics@geeksdanz.org with “ACEN” somewhere in the subject line, and in the body of your email tell me what your favorite cosplay from the weekend was. It can be from the masquerade, the halls, the hotel…whatever. If it’s got ACEN in the subject and a cosplay story from this weekend in the body, you can have your pieces for the discounted rate.

I’ll even start off the story-sharing…my favorite cosplays from this weekend would have to be the elaborate armored Golbez from FFVI and the lumpy-polygon rendition of Cloud from FFVII, both in the masquerade. What can I say…I’m an old-school gal.

I will warn you, though, that for me to pull this off will require posting special listings to Etsy after they are requested. So if you want the discount, don’t make your purchase until after I email you telling you that your special listing is up and linking you the page.

Of course, if you don’t care about the discount, just order away!

Hi All!

Just wanted to give a heads-up that I’ve increased the shipping charges for my pieces slightly, to account for the cost of the boxes I use. I didn’t worry about it too much at first, but sales have picked up enough that I’ve decided to adjust the shipping to cover the cost of purchasing a box as well as the shipping. But don’t worry; it’s only a one-dollar increase. New shipping rates are in effect on Etsy as of this morning.

ACen is next weekend, and I’m super excited about it! Wish me luck, and if you’re in the Chicago area, come down and see me!

Hello All!

Well, ACen is nearing, and the relics are already beginning to sell. So far I’ve sold one pair each of Czarina and Relic Earrings, a Star Pendant, and a handful of Moogles. I’ve had further info from friends who are planning to be at ACen and have promised to stop by and peruse my wares in person. Should be a fantastic weekend!

I’m currently in the process of doing a bunch of administrative and organizational chores to get everything all set up for the con. I found and purchased display stands, and arranged everything on them in my living room to see how it looked. My friend Christa, who’s the collections manager for a local museum, said she approved of my jewelry mountings. Sweet!

Big excitement today…I just received my custom-made miniature business cards from Moo.com! They look wonderful; here:

If they look small, it’s because they are. Moo’s “MiniCards” are half the height of a normal business card. I love them because they’re cheap, they stand out, and they’re great if you only need to put a little bit of info on them.

So exciting!
